Now through to spring is the ideal time to plant your elderberry shrub. Elderberries thrive in a sunny to part-shade position with well-drained soil and regular watering while establishing. For best results, fertilise regularly during the growing season to encourage lush, vigorous growth and a spectacular flowering display.

Plant 6 feet (approx. 2 metres) apart for a hedgerow or privacy screen effect, or as a standalone feature plant. They respond well to pruning if you want to keep them more compact.
